SHAREHOLDERS:
HENRY E. DAVIS, CPA
Henry Davis graduated from West Texas State University with a Bachelor of Business
Administration degree in Accounting in 1972 and began his accounting career with
the firm. His twenty-seven years of experience have been concentrated on
financial statement audits, accounting and internal control system
implementation, and taxation. Mr. Davis has worked in the following industry
areas: wholesale distribution, automotive dealerships, construction,
financial institutions, health care providers, governmental and nonprofit
organizations and restaurants.
Professionally, Mr. Davis is
licensed by the Texas and New Mexico Boards of Public Accountancy. Presently, he is a member
of the American Institute of CPA’s, the Texas Society of CPA’s
and the Panhandle Chapter of the Texas Society of CPA’s. He has served
as a board member and officer of the Panhandle Chapter.
Mr. Davis is a member of the
Amarillo Downtown Lions Club and has served both on its board of directors
and as an officer. He has served on other community boards and is a past
president of the Panhandle Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis
Society.
ROBERT P. McPHERSON,
CPA
Bob McPherson is a 1977 graduate of Texas Tech University. He joined Doshier, Pickens & Francis
as a staff accountant in June of 1978 and has been a shareholder since July
of 1985. Mr. McPherson works primarily in compliance and tax and retirement
planning for a variety of small businesses including medical and legal
professionals, oil and gas operating companies, oil and gas royalty and
working interest owners, construction, retail sales and grain storage and
marketing. He is a member of the Texas
Society of CPA’s and has served on local and state committees as a
member of the Texas Society of CPA’s Ethics Committee and as the
chairman of the Panhandle Chapter’s Tax Institute.
Outside work, Mr. McPherson is
currently serving his third term as a member of the board of directors and as
treasurer of the Children’s Rehabilitation Center. He also serves on the board of directors
for the Children’s Rehabilitation Center Foundation. For the past three
years, he has been a HOST mentor at Palo Duro High School.
RHONDA L. RUSSELL, CPA
Rhonda Russell graduated from West Texas State University with a Bachelor of Business
Administration and a Masters of Professional Accounting in 1977. She had
several years of experience in public accounting before joining Doshier,
Pickens & Francis in 1983. She earned the PFS (Personal Financial
Specialist) designation from the AICPA in March 2000. Mrs. Russell serves
clients mainly by consulting in the income tax, estate tax, small business,
and financial and retirement planning areas, emphasizing asset protection and
wealth management for the most profitable outcome. She also provides fee only
financial planning services.
Mrs. Russell serves on the board
of directors and is a committee member for the Texas Society of CPA’s.
She is past president of the Panhandle Chapter of the Texas Society of
CPA’s and a member of the American Institute of CPA’S. She
consults with and is a member of the board of directors for the
Children’s Rehabilitation Center Foundation and Planned Parenthood
Foundation. She is past president of Family Support Services and
Children’s Rehabilitation Center and has held several offices in Amarillo
Women’s Network. She is a graduate of Leadership Amarillo.
MICHAEL W. YOUNG, CPA
Mike Young graduated in 1977 from West Texas State University with a Bachelor of Business
Administration degree. He is a member of the American Institute of
CPA’s and the Texas Society of CPA’s. He served as President of
the Panhandle Chapter of the Texas Society of CPA’s in 1996-97. He just completed a six year term on
the Texas Society of CPA’s CPE Foundation Board of Governors. He is currently serving a three
year term on the Texas Society of CPA’s Board of Directors. He was selected as the CPA of the Year
in 2004 by the Panhandle Chapter of CPAs for his current and past service to
the Panhandle Chapter and the Texas Society of CPAs. Having been with Doshier, Pickens
& Francis for 30 years, he is in charge of the firm’s accounting
and auditing practice quality control.
Mr. Young’s current experience includes
accounting and auditing of wholesale distributors, heavy equipment
dealerships, employee benefit plans, not-for-profits and governmental
entities. His tax preparation and
compliance experience includes individuals and small businesses in industries
such as medical, oil and gas, real estate, agriculture, personal services and
investments.
Mr. Young has been active in the
Hi Plains Kiwanis Club since 1984, having served as president, secretary, and
treasurer and as a member of the Board of Directors. He has also served on
the Board of Directors for Family Support Services and is a graduate of
Leadership Amarillo. He is a volunteer driver for Meals on Wheels and is
active in the Alpha/Omega Choir at Paramount Baptist Church.

KAREN
L. HARBAUGH, CPA
Karen L. Harbaugh joined Doshier, Pickens & Francis in 1991,
having graduated from Texas Tech
University in 1983. Prior to
joining the firm, Ms. Harbaugh worked in public accounting for four years in Dallas,
Texas, followed by three years with a
multinational company in Irving, Texas.
She is a member of the Panhandle Chapter of CPA’s, The Texas Society of
CPA’s and the American Institute of CPA’s.
LYLE
C. JOINER, CPA
Lyle C. (Cory) Joiner joined Doshier, Pickens &
Francis in 2002. He graduated
from West Texas
A & M University
in 1994 and worked in private industry for two years. He has seven years of
experience in public practice. He
is a supervisor and accountant-in-charge of audits of financial statements
for governmental & nonprofit entities, privately held businesses, and
employee benefit plans. His tax
experience includes individual and small business. He has extensive experience in
agricultural and retail accounting.
He is a member of the American Institute of CPA’s, the Texas
Society of CPA’s, and the Panhandle Chapter of the TSCPA.
JOEL A. WRIGHT, CPA
Joel A. Wright joined the firm in 1992 after graduating from West
Texas State University.
He is a supervisor and accountant-in-charge of audits of financial statements
for privately held businesses (wholesale distributorships, health care and
heavy machinery dealerships), nonprofit, and governmental entities as well as
audits of employee benefit plans. He is a member of the American Institute of
CPA’s and the Texas Society of CPA’s. He currently serves as
treasurer for the Canyon Pregnancy
Center, a not-for-profit
organization, as well as the Panhandle Chapter of the TSCPA.
PAUL M. DOMINGUEZ,
CPA, Senior Manager
Mr. Dominguez joined Doshier, Pickens &
Francis, P.C. in February 2007. He will provide various tax and financial
services including Federal and State tax consulting, planning, research and
return preparation. Additionally
Mr. Dominguez will assist in financial analysis, business valuations and
litigation support services.
Mr. Dominguez was formerly a Director of Financial
Services with Quixx Corporation.
While at Quixx he assisted in financial analysis and economic
valuations of possible merger and acquisition transactions as well as financial
and economic analysis of power projects.
Prior to his affiliation with Quixx, Mr. Dominguez was a Tax Manager
with KPMG Peat Marwick and Clifton Gunderson P.L.L.C. Mr. Dominguez has over 10-years of
public accounting experience. His
specializations include Business Valuation and Litigation Support Services,
Corporate Taxation and State and Local income, franchise and sales/use
tax. Mr. Dominguez is a Certified
Public Accountant and an Accredited Business Valuator with the American
Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He graduated from West
Texas A&M University
with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting in 1990.
ANNE
M. CARPENTER, CPA
Staff accountant
Anne Carpenter graduated from West Texas A&M University in 2004 with a Bachelor of Business
Administration degree in Accounting and joined Doshier, Pickens & Francis
that year. She is a member of the
Texas Society of CPA’s and the Panhandle Chapter of CPA’s. Anne received her CPA certificate in
2007.
NICHOLE A. DYER
Staff accountant Nichole A. Dyer
joined Doshier, Pickens & Francis in 2006, having graduated from West
Texas A&M University
in 2006 with a Bachelor of Business Administration majoring in
Accounting. Prior to joining the
firm, Mrs. Dyer worked as an intern in public accounting for 2 years. Mrs. Dyer is a student member of the AICPA,
TSCPA and the Panhandle Chapter of CPA’s. Mrs. Dyer is currently working towards
her CPA certification.
JOHN
M. MERRISS
John Merriss joined
the firm in 2004 and worked part-time while attending college. He became a
staff accountant at Doshier, Pickens & Francis in January, 2005. He
graduated from West Texas
A&M University
in December, 2004 with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in
Accounting. He is currently working on a Masters of Business Administration
from West Texas A&M and CPA certification.
SAMUEL J. MOORE
Samuel Moore joined Doshier, Pickens and Francis as a
staff accountant in 2006. He
graduated from Southwestern College
in December, 2004 with a Bachelor of Business Administration and received his
MBA in Finance & Accounting from American
Intercontinental University
in November, 2005. Prior to
joining the firm, Samuel gained experience working as an intern in public
accounting. He is currently
working towards his CPA certification.
ALICIA PICKENS
Alicia Pickens joined the Doshier, Pickens & Francis
team in 2005, working part-time while she finished her degree. She graduated from West
Texas A&M University
in 2006 with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree. Alicia is a member of Alpha Chi, a
national college honor society.
She serves as treasurer for the Ridgecrest Elementary School PTA. She is currently working towards CPA
certification.
BRIAN K. SCHRAYER
Schrayer joined Doshier, Pickens & Francis as a staff
accountant in 2005. He graduated
from West Texas
A&M University
in August, 2005 with Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and
Master of Professional Accounting degrees. Prior to joining the firm, Brian had
more than a year’s experience as an intern in public accounting. He is currently working towards CPA
certification.
KIMBERLY SNELGROOES
Kimberly Snelgrooes joined Doshier, Pickens and Francis in
2006, working as an intern until she finished her degree. She graduated from West
Texas A&M University
in 2007 with a Masters of Professional Accounting. She is currently working
towards CPA certification.
