All communications between our firm and the user are encrypted using the Secure Socket Layer (SSL). This is the same functionality used by banks and popular e-commerce services for secure communication. We also store your files encrypted when they are at rest on our servers, adding an additional layer of security. To protect against data loss, our servers are equipped with technology that automatically mirrors all data in real-time to two separate locations. Regular incremental and full backups of all system data are performed, including off-site data backups stored in two separate secure physical locations, to protect against almost all disaster scenarios.

Henry E. Davis, CPA
Henry E. Davis graduated from West Texas State University with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in accounting in 1972, and began his accounting career with the firm. His forty years of experience have been concentrated on financial and compliance audits. He has provided these services wholesale distributors, auto dealerships, governmental entities, not-for profit organizations and employee benefit plans.
Professionally, Mr. Davis is licensed by the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy; he is a member of the American Institute of CPA’s, the Texas Society of CPA’s and the Panhandle Chapter of the Texas Society of CPA’s. He is a current member and past officer of the Amarillo Downtown Lions Club. He has also served on the boards of Llano Cemetery Association and Multiple Sclerosis Society as director and past president as well as director of the Amarillo Chamber of Commerce Foundation.
Michael W. Young, CPA
Mike Young graduated in 1977 from West Texas State University with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree. He is a member of the American Institute of CPA’s and the Texas Society of CPA’s. He served as President of the Panhandle Chapter of the Texas Society of CPA’s in 1996-97. He has served in various positions with the Texas Society of CPA’s including four years on the Executive Board, six years on the CPE Foundation Board of Governors and past chairman of the Strategic Planning Committee and the Chapter Coordinating Steering Subcommittee. He continues to serve on the TSCPA Board of Directors through 2016. He was selected as the CPA of the Year in 2004 and again in 2009 by the Panhandle Chapter of CPAs for his current and past service to the Panhandle Chapter and the Texas Society of CPAs. He currently serves as the firm’s managing partner.
Mr. Young’s current experience includes accounting and auditing of closely held private companies, employee benefit plans, not-for-profit organizations and governmental entities. His tax preparation and compliance experience includes individual, trusts and small businesses tax preparation in industries such as medical, heavy equipment dealer, oil and gas, agriculture, personal services and investments as well as not-for-profit organizations.
Outside of work, Mr. Young has been active in the Hi Plains Kiwanis Club since 1984, having served as president, secretary, and treasurer and as a member of the Board of Directors, and currently serving as president-elect and president in the next year. He has also served on the Board of Directors for various local not-for-profit organizations and is a graduate of Leadership Amarillo. He is a volunteer driver for Meals on Wheels and is active in choir at Paramount Baptist Church. His activities also include noon racquetball games and weekend golfing.
John M. Merriss, CPA
John Merriss graduated from West Texas A & M University with a Masters of Business Administration degree in 2004 and joined the firm after graduation. He is a member of the American Institute of CPA's, Panhandle Chapter of Texas Society of CPA's and Texas Society of CPA's. John has over ten years of experience in public accounting. His experience includes accounting and audit services with an emphasis on governmental entities including counties, cities, and special purpose districts.
John has previously served as a Board member of the Ronald McDonald House of Amarillo, has participated with Leadership Amarillo & Canyon, and serves as a Deacon in his church, Lifeway Fellowship Baptist.
